The 49th general session of the Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU) was held from January 11 to 13 at Choklangan village with minister, soil and water conservation and land resources, P. Longon, and parliamentary secretary, fishery, printing and stationery, relief and rehabilitation, as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
Events included volley ball matches where Wolam Nyukyan (men) and Pathso Nokeng (women) emerged as champions, ethnic fashion show, and solo competition.
Meanwhile, the student union has elected a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2013-15 with S. Chonta (president), P. Sulim (vice-president), Amos Nyukshing (general secretary), and K. Shongmao (assistant general secretary).
