INC Vrs NPF: Voters will decide which party- NPF or Congress- will emerge the winner, though it is largely felt that the verdict would be a hung house.

In 2003 elections Congress got 35.86 % of the votes and won 21 seats while the NPF got 29.76 % votes and won 19 seats but formed the government with a post-poll alliance.

Again in 2008 Congress got 36.28% of the votes and won 23 seats while the NPF got 33.62 % votes and won 26 seats and formed the government with other parties and independents.

Congress sources claim the party will emerge the single largest party with a minimum of 26 seats to form the next government with allies.

Congress has conceded not more than 20 for the ruling NPF. On the other hand, NPF has claimed it will win absolute majority of 34 seats.
