“Keneikhrie peli no.12” of Tsütuonuomia Khel (T. Khel), Kohima village, a club with around 80 members would be celebrating three-day silver jubilee along with Angami Sekhrenyi at Kijü-u Ba T.Khel Kohima village, established in the year 1988.
This was announced during a press conference held in Kohima village, attended by Vilanyü Phewhuo & Dr. Medotsei-o whuorie (club leaders), Keneingutuo Solo, secretary organizing committee, Thefuhulie Belho convenor organizing committee and Menguzelie Phewhuo treasurer.
The organizing members said club members, mostly above 35 years of age living in different places across the state would come together to celebrate its 25 years of existence.
The members said the club has been involved in activites for the welfare of the society such as construction of rest house, conducted medical health camp etc., and has more plans and projects for the society in the near future.
Keneikhrie Peli no. 12 members said they would celebrate the jubilee in a way to revive, promote and preserve the age-old Naga traditions.
To add more colour to the celebration, the members have invited ministers, MLAs, well wishers, friends and others.
The club members who are married to other tribes are also invited, they said. The first day of the programme would start at 11 a.m.
Where Sekrenyi greetings would be delivered by K. Neingunyü Sekhose president APO, welcome address by Vilanyü and keynote address to be delivered by Thepfuhulie Belho. Others highlights include jubilee feast, traditional games, folk songs and many others.
