A joint meeting of VEC, village council, students’ union, Eloe Hoho and teaching staff was held on March 25 at Old Riphyim, chaired by retired DIS and VEC chairman, Mentsio Patton.
The meet discussed various issues related to the functioning and responsibilities of government teachers serving within the village jurisdiction.
According to a press release issued by Old Riphyim Village Council chairman, as per the outcome of the meeting, the house has decided that those teachers found irregular would be dealt as per the decision of the Kyong Students’ Union (KSU), and Englan Range Students’ Union (ERSU). The council further urged all the teaching staff serving at the village, to adhere to its recent resolution adopted at the joint meeting.
