CKU condemns April 9 incident

April 14, 2013 | by admin

Chiecha Kuda Union (CKU) has condemned the actions of NSCN (K) “mobile V Naga army” under the command of “colonel” Koruchu Pochury of Phor village under Kiphire district where the workers of first class contractor, Thepfusatou Rio were “unnecessarily harassed” and vehicles taken away.

In a press release, CKU president, Menguzelie Rio, vice president, Thejanei-U and general secretary, Jasajie Rüpre-O stated it was “shocking that Naga brothers were kidnapping our people for taxation”, adding, such kind of action would not bring peace and development.

The signatories also asserted that such “continuous harassment and threatening” of workers at the work site and “kidnapping” should be stopped at any cost, as Nagas were trying to bring peace and unity.

Further, CKU appealed the appropriate authority to take action at the earliest.
