Indian Air Force will be conducting the Indian Air Force Airmen recruitment rally at Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS), Meriema, Kohima on May 3- 5 for recruitment to group ‘Y’ (non technical) and Group ‘X’ (technical) trades respectively, for candidates of Nagaland, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, reported an official bulletin.
As per the schedule, for group ‘Y’ (non technical) candidates, written test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and interview will be conducted on May 3, while medical test for group ‘Y’ (non technical) candidates who have passed the written test will be conducted on May 4.
For Group ‘X’ (technical) candidates, written test, physical fitness test (PFT) and interview will be conducted on May 5 and trade allocation test (TAT) and medical test for group ‘X’ (technical) candidates who have passed the written test will be conducted on May 6.
Candidates should be born between May 1, 1993 to November 30, 1996 (both days inclusive).
For group ‘Y’ (non technical) candidates should have passed the intermediate/10+2 in any steam/subjects approved by central/state education boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English or should have passed a 2 years vocational course affiliated/recognized by CBSE/state education boards/councils duly recognized at par with 10+2 by AIU with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, and 50% marks in English in vocational course or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in vocational course.
For group ‘X’ (technical) candidates should have passed the intermediate/10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and English, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English or should have passed the 3-year diploma course in engineering (mechanical/electrical/electronics/automobile/computer science/instrumentation technology/information technology) from a government recognized polytechnic institute with minimum 50% marks in overall aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma or in intermediate/ matriculation if English is not a subject in diploma.
A pre-recruitment training will be conducted on April 29-30 and May 1 at Rajya Saink Board, Kohima from 12 noon to 3 p.m. For further information, interested candidates may contact 0361- 2843385 or www.indianairforce.nic.in
