NSCN (K) education kilonser, Maj. (Retired) Kiwongkhum Yim, has clarified the confusion regarding “regional and central tax” with “regional problems”.
Kiwongkhum Yim, in a release, said as per the ‘Azha’ given by S.S. Khaplang, president, GPRN, Langkhuh Konyak, deputy kilonser for chaplee was given an authorization on November 26, 2012, for the districts of Mon, Longleng, Tuensang, and Kiphire, and then to Itokhu khiphur, central council member, from Yimchunger representatives.
In this regard, Kiwongkhum Yim said, all central taxes would be “levied” by Itokhu Khiphur and that regional tax will come under the “concerned chairman” for Yimchunger region. For the welfare and smooth functioning of the government affairs, all concerned have been requested not to interfere in this matter but cooperate for the uplift of the government functionary.
