Nagaland government has expressed gratitude to the Rajasthan government for the “big humanitarian gesture” in sponsoring the cost of Air tickets of the eight Naga children rescued from an unregistered care home in Jaipur and for also granting Rs. 10,000 each to the children.
It may be recalled that the children were taken to Jaipur on the promise of giving them quality education. However, they were not sent to schools and were found confined in a house with poor ventilation.
According to state social welfare department, the children were now under the care of CCI and undergoing counselling. The department has also expressed gratitude to the government of Rajasthan, stated a DIPR report.
