Home minister lauds NBCC’s ‘Clean Election’ campaign

Nagaland home minister G. Kaito Aye has lauded NBCC and the Churches for initiating the ‘Clean Election’ campaign and acknowledged the difference it has made in the election.

Speaking at his felicitation and thanksgiving programme, held at Satakha town April 25 last, Kaito said people should support the campaign to bring changes in the society, to bring an economic and political transformation now and for the future generations.

Home minister urged the public leaders and government officials to be truthful, transparent, sincere, just and to stand for the rights of the people they served, saying it would earn them respect from the people.

Pointing out that it should be everyone’s effort to progress, he said working together in peace and unity was the key to make a difference.

Asking the people to cooperate and help him in his leadership, the minister expressed hope that his leadership would not only be “right in the eyes and minds” of the people but also pleasing in the eyes of God.

The minister, in his speech, acknowledged and thanked the people of 36 A/C Satakha and credited his glorious win to the earnest effort and support of the people.

The programme was graced by Rev. Hukugha Jimo, Pastor STBC under the aegis of the NPF party officials 36 A/C Satakha.

ADC Zunheboto, Satakha and Pughoboto, S.P Zunheboto, Comdt. 8th NAP Naltoqa, GB’s and well-wishers participated in the function where more than 2000 people gathered to congratulate the minister.

The programme was chaired by Tokugha Sukhai, President NPF 36 A/C Satakha with Edward Muru delivering the welcome speech and V. Hewoto Chophy, V.P. NPF Satakha conveying the vote of thanks. The programme ended with a prayer led by Ghunato, Pastor UBC Satakha.
