Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ATSD) has condemned the assault on Tiatemsu, an executive member of the Dimapur Ao Youth Organization by unidentified miscreants on April 30 night, at 7th Mile, Dimapur “causing grievous injury”.
In a joint statement, ATSD’s president Supu Jamir and assistant general secretary, Imtinochet said ASTD through its apex body meeting, vehemently condemned the “inhuman and cowardice act”.
“It was reported that the victim was questioned of his Tribal identity before assaulting and brandished with weapon to shoot at and incidentally shot only in his vehicle,” ASTD stated.
ASTD said at the time when “Naga brethrens talk about peace and unity, such dastardly and unruly act based on tribe identity, should be condemned by all.
Stating that the union has taken the matter “very seriously”, ASTD has demanded “law enforcing agency” to expedite the investigation and to book the culprits.
