Kohima Lotha Eloe Ekhung (KLEE) held its general session on May 4 at the Red Cross Conference Hall, Kohima.
Joint director, rural development department, Thungdeno Mozhui while exhorting the Lotha women, stressed on the role of women, and reminded them that God has given the women folk a special gift.
She encouraged them to make the best use of their talents and potentials and to adjust and adapt to the changing times.
Mozhui further exhorted the gathering to think and act globally and to take the tribe and the Nagas forward by utilizing the special gift bestowed upon them by God.
She called upon the gathering to work together for the interest of the Lotha tribe in particular and Naga women in general and discouraged them from being “self centered” women.
She also harped on the need for preservation one’s own mother tongue and asked the women folk to take maximum advantage of staying in the state capital by being vigilant and forthcoming and to be an asset for the society.
The joint director also shared her personal experience during her postings to various districts of Nagaland.
In the programme, E.M. Lotha enthralled the crowd with self composed renditions expressing the uniqueness of the Lotha women.
Associate pastor, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church, K. Benry Lotha invoke God’s blessing upon the new KLEE office bearers which will be led by Nzamongi Ezung while Women leader KLBC, W. Nyanchumi Kithan pronounced the invocation.
Outgoing finance secretary and general secretary KLEE gave their reports for the tenure 2011-2013. The outgoing president KLEE, Arhoni Z. Kikon who chaired the programme also delivered the welcome address while the outgoing vice president KLEE, Thungbeni Kikon proposed the vote of thanks.
