NSCN (K) has expressed serious concern over reports of groups and individuals seeking and levying “tax/donations” in and around Dimapur district in the name of NSCN (K).
In a statement, NSCN (K) ‘military in-charge’ ‘lt. col.’ Akaho Sumi directed all business establishments, individuals and the general public not to entertain demands from individuals or groups claiming to be from the NSCN (K) without the approval of the designated authorities from the ‘military (finance).’
Those entertaining such demands would be doing so at their own risk for which NSCN (K) would not be held responsible, it stated.
In the case of such taxation/donation demands, NSCN (K) has asked all to verify through the designated authorities and contact numbers 9436249157/8732009014 (lt.col. Akaho) and 9862567272/ 9862253200 (L. Tuccu).
