Condemnations galore over May 16 triple murder

Various organizations and individual (s) have condemned the May 17 triple murder wherein a Naga family was hacked to death in Bor-Lengri, Assam on May 16 by unknown miscreants.

Y Patton: state minister for forest and border affairs, Y. Patton has expressed dismay over the triple murder of a Naga family committed by unknown miscreants at Bor-Lengri area on the night of May 16. Condemning the most heinous crime, he called upon the law enforcing agencies from both Assam and Nagaland to nab the culprits at the earliest and to award exemplary punishment so that recurrence of similar crime was discouraged in future. The minster then cautioned the residents of Bor-Lengri to be vigilant over the movement of people coming from different places.

WSKH: Western Sumi Kukami (GB) Hoho (WSKH) has vehemently condemned the inhuman act of homicide that snatched away three precious prime lives of late Rhonsuo Odyuo of Changpang village along with his wife late Alice Sumi and his sister late Shanchobeni Patton wife of Libemo Patton GB of Doyang village on May 16 at Bor-Lengri, Karbi Anglong. Stating that such act of barbarism has no place in any society, WSKH has appealed to the police forces of both Nagaland and Assam to prove its credentials of high reputation by putting out all effort to apprehend the culprits at the earliest and award capital punishment without any reservations. Meanwhile, WSKH has conveyed its condolence to the bereaved families and conveyed its solidarity in their fight for justice therein. The Hoho also prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls.

DOME: Dimapur Odyuo Motsurui Ekhung (DOME) has condemned the heinous crime committed by unknown miscreants who murdered Ronsuo Odyuo, his wife and his sister at Bor-Lengiri. The union called upon every right thinking citizens to condemn such barbaric act, wherein the victims were brutally murdered with a machete and their mutilated after the women were “raped”. The union further appealed to the authorities to expedite the investigation and award befitting punishment to the culprits at the earliest.

KYIW:  Kyong Youth Initiative Wokha (KYIW) has condemned the inhuman and barbaric crime committed by some miscreants, wherein three persons, Rhonsuo Odyuo, Shanchobeni Patton and Alice Sumi were mercilessly murdered at Bor-Lengri (Assam). KYIW has urged the competent authority to book the criminals at the earliest and urged public in the vicinity of the crime to co-operate with the authority in bringing the matter to light. KYIW also appealed the police of both Assam and Nagaland to expedite the investigation with cordial coordination for early booking of the cruel murderers.

RRUD: Ralan Range Union Dimapur (RRUD) has condemned the triple murder of late Rhonsuo Odyuo of Changpang village along with his wife late Alice Sumi and his sister late Shanchobeni Patton by some “unknown savages” on the night of May 16 at Bor-Lengri, Assam. Terming the incident as barbaric and inhuman nature, RRUD urged the law enforcing agencies of both Assam and Nagaland to nab the culprits and award them befitting punishments so that such incidents does not take place again in today’s “civilized world”. The union has further conveyed its condolence to the bereaved families.

DKSU:  Dimapur Kyong Students Union (DKSU) has condemned the triple murder of a family at Bor-Lengri, Karbi Anglong (Assam) on the night on May 16. Condemning the brutal murder, the union stated that such inhuman act was an act of cowardice and urged the concerned authority to speed up the investigation and book the culprits at the earliest, adding the union would not remain “mute”.

LEED: Lotha Eloe Ekhung Dimapur (LEED) has condemned the brutal murder of late Rhonsuo Odyuo of Changpang village along with his wife late Alice Sumi and his sister late Shanchobeni Patton on the night of May 16 at Bor-Lengri. LEED urged the investigating and law enforcing agencies of Assam and Nagaland to book the culprits and award the highest degree of punishment at the earliest. Meanwhile, LEED has conveyed its condolence to the bereaved families and prayed God would grant them solace at this hour of grief.

LHD: Lotha Hoho Dimapur (LHD) has condemned the brutal cold blooded murder of late Rhonsuo Odyuo of Changpang village along with his wife late Alice Sumi and his sister late Shanchobeni Patton at their residence in Bor-Lengri on the night of May 16. Stating that this kind of barbaric and heinous crime was beyond human imagination and description, the Hoho said that such act deserved to be condemned by one and all. LHD appealed to the appropriate authority of Assam and Nagaland to make a joint effort in nabbing the culprits and ward highest degree of punishment at the earliest.

LHKA: Lotha Hoho Karbi Anglong (LHKA) has condemned the inhuman act of barbarism wherein late Rhonsuo Odyuo of Changpang village along with his wife late Alice Sumi and his sister late Shanchobeni Patton wife of Libemo Patton was brutally murdered at their residence in Bor-Lengri, Karbi Anglong. The hoho urged the law enforcing agencies of both Assam and Nagaland to leave no stone unturned and book the perpetrators at the earliest without any bias and award punishment according to the law. Further, the hoho conveyed its condolence to the bereaved families and prayed to Almighty God to grant them solace at this hour of grief.

DDCF: Dimapur District Citizen Forum (DDCF) president Hokiye Yepthomi and Secretary I. Temjen Jamir has unequivocally condemned the ghastly murder of Rhonsuo Odyuo, his wife and sister. DDCF added that the perpetrators of the crime should be brought to book by the investigating agencies.  Further, DDCF conveyed its condolence to the bereaved families.

KEH, KYO and KHE: Kyong Eloe Hoho (KEH), Kyong Youth Hoho (KYO) and Kyong Hungjantaren Ekhung (KHE) Wokha has expressed outrage at the barbaric assassination of Rhonsuo Odyuo son of late Khontesmo Odyuo of Chanpang Village, his wife Alice Odyuo and his sister Shanchobeni Patton wife of Libemo Patton on May 16 night  at Bor-Lingiri. KEH president Thungjano Tsanglao, KYO president Phyojamo Ngullie and KHE chairman Y Likhao Humtsoe while condemning the heinous crime, said “such gruesome murder is clearly among the worst of the worst and is beyond imaginable”. While expressing its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and friends of the victims, KEH, KYO and KHE called on the authority in-charge to book the culprits and award stringent punishment as per the law of land. 

DPO: Dimasa Public Organization (DPO) Nagaland has condemned the gruesome murder of three persons at Bor-Lengri, Karbi Anglong, Assam on May 16 by unidentified miscreants. DPO said the law enforcing authority must not leave any stone unturned to identify and nab the culprits who deserved a befitting punishment. SOUDA: Shena Old Union Dimapur Area (SOUDA) has condemned the gruesome and brutal murder of three persons at Bor-Lengri.  In a condemnation note, the union’s vice chairman, Jonah Achumi appealed to all the right thinking citizens to condemn and denounce such, barbaric, inhuman and satanic act. The union urged the authorities to book the culprits at the earliest.

DMPF:  Dimapur Muslim Public Forum (DMPF) has condemned the triple murder at Boro-Lengri on May 16 night by some “unidentified killers”. DMPF urged the administration of Assam and Nagaland to constitute a high level joint investigating team to probe into the incident and apprehend the perpetrators of the crime to award them befitting punishment.

ASTD: Condemning the guresome triple murder of a bonafide Naga family at Bor-Lengri, the Ao Senso Telongjem  Dimapur (ASTD) has appealed to the competent authority to put credential in investigating the case.

CNTC: Central Nagaland Tribal Council (CNTC) condemning the gruesome incident has demanded cohesive and detail investigation from Assam and Nagaland police and administration to the culprit.
