Acclaimed Naga pianist & singer becomes 1st Indian to endorse Yamaha pianos

Internationally acclaimed pianist and singer, Nise Meruno, brand ambassador for International Music Company AKG by Harman, Austria, has added another feather in his cap within a year after he was roped in as brand ambassador of Yamaha Pianos, the international music company of Japan.

A rare opportunity for a single artiste to endorse two internationally acclaimed musical products, Nise Meruno, when quipped how he landed up with the contract, said that he was also amazed in the first place on how a simple and a humble person from a small state like Nagaland could be an ambassador for such a big music company.

However, he added that, at the end of the day it was “talent that travels far and wide” for which it needed hard work.

Nise also revealed that he was also asked to endorse digital piano which was earlier endorsed by Grammy Award nominated film composer, record producer, Jazz musician-keyboardist and singer, Louis Banks.

He disclosed that he wanted to share the moments of his twin achievements with every musicians of the state to encourage them as he felt that people around the world should look beyond, as Nagas are already put on the world map.

Nise thanked God for opening a bigger platform for him and for what he is today. Nise in fact is more happy and comfortable being here in the state nurturing talents as his hobby has turned into a professional career.

He also thanked his family, friends and his students for always believing in him  by saying, “One may have all the talents in the world and could work harder than anybody else; but unless God is on your side; you will never succeed in life.”
