HSSLC and HSLC result details presented at DPDB Peren

Details of HSLC and HSSLC results with effect from 2006-07 to 2012-13 was presented at DPDB meeting Peren on June 6 by Apeuna Iheilung, DEO Peren.

Apeuna Iheilung was of the view that both the government and private schools have been growing year by year in the academic performance.

The overall district percentage for 2012-13 in respect of HSLC stood at 65.9% and HSSLC at 67.9 %. She also added that some schools secured cent percent result apart from toppers and distinction in many subjects.

She stated that all this positive steps have been made possible due to the support of the government and cooperation of all concerned.

Deputy commissioner, Peren, Senti Ao lauded the performance of the schools in Peren district. He said that Peren district has 22 high schools and 6 higher secondary schools.

Meanwhile grant-in-aid to Baptist High School Jalukie (B) and upgradation of Mongleu Valley School Saijang was recommended for submission to higher authority for approval.

Sub-centre Samjiuram was recommended for up-gradation to primary health centre. Earlier, Upgradation of roads in Peren district under NLCPR was deliberated.

The board recommended two roads namely, Peren Town to Kananram and Peren town to Mhaikan Road to be taken up.

Taxi operation from Tening ADC Hq, Msong, Thipung and Ngwaiwa, EAC Hq and Poilwa village to new district Hq and under capacity building was approved by the Board for own ward submission.
The board also discussed about drinking water supply to Peren town.

EE PHED Kethoi apprised the board about the inability of the department to gather regular water supply due to constant repair works of the respective pipe line which were more than 38 years old.

The board felt the need for immediate attention and decided to write to the department for new pipelines to be installed.

Formation of a Music Society Peren was approved in principle and would be submitted along with the requisite documents for approval of higher authority.

Later, deputy commissioner Peren, Senti Ao also hinted about the formation of a district committee to check the attendance of officers and staff in the office. Road connectivity and water supply to new district Hq was also reviewed in the meeting.
