Wokha Aor Telongjem: Wokha Aor Telongjem (Ao union) has expressed its unstinted solidarity and support to Ao Senden on its stand on the Saringyim border issue and its resolution to stop movement of vehicles and people to Maraini and Amguri under Assam state.

A press release issued by Apong T, president Wokha Aor Telongjem maintained that the people of Mokokchung face untold hardship and harassment while crossing through Assam and therefore said the initiative and vision of the Ao Senden to press for construction of foot-hill road along the border area was a long-felt need and aspiration of the people.

In this regard, Wokha Aor Telongjem has appealed to all people of the state, tribal hohos, organizations and civil society to espouse and support the cause and effort of Ao Senden to ensure an honourable and dignified existence for the people.

“Besides, the foot-hill road will act as a life-line for development and closer integration of our people”, the release added.

The release also appealed to the people, district administration and police of Kohima, Wokha and Zuheboto to facilitate the movement of people and vehicles by providing adequate security and aid.

PHN: Poumai Hoho Nagaland (PHN) has extended its support to Ao Senden and other organizations with regard to the prevailing situation along Nagaland and Assam border.

PHN appealed to the state government for immediate intervention without further delay to defuse the situation and bring an amicable solution for the welfare of everyone.

The hoho also extended its solidarity to the Nagas, who have been affected by the ongoing border imbroglio.
