Free medical camp at St. Johns Orphanage, Longleng

Troops of 31 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 7 Sector Assam Rifles and IGAR (N) organised a free medical camp for poor and needy children of St John’s orphanage, Longleng.

The medical officer along with supporting staff screened all the children for basic ailments and also administered de-worming tablets and syrups.

Some medicines were also distributed to the children who were found with basic ailments. The children and staff present were also educated on preventive measures against common cold and ear infection.

The village council and teaching staff expressed gratitude to Assam Rifles for the goodwill gesture in
organising the camp in a remote and neglected area.
