Changpang Villagers’ Union Wokha Town (CVUWT) has condemned the triple murder of Ronsuo Odyuo, son of Khontsemo Odyuo, Alice Sumi and Sanchonopeni Patton on May 16 at Bor-Lengri, Karbi Anglong, Assam.
The union in a press release issued by its chairman, Robin Lotha, and secretary, Mesathung Lotha, lauded Dimapur and Wokha police teams for apprehending the prime accused in the case, Thomas Humtsoe, on May 21.
CVUWT further appealed the Nagaland and Assam governments to take stern actions at the earliest by stating that Thomas Humtsoe should not be granted bail at any cost but awarded life imprisonment or capital punishment.
CVUWT said all the persons involved in the triple murder and those absconding should be immediately arrested, including the prime accused, Thomas Humtsoe and all his accomplices should be given equal and befitting punishment as per the law of land to deliver justice.
The union also requested and demanded from the government and competent authorities to give ex-gratia to the next of kin of the victims.
