July 2, 2013 | by admin

In response to Angami Youth Organisation (AYO)’s assertion that the “murder attempt” on NSF assistant general secretary Kesosul Christopher Ltu allegedly by “lieut” Amento Sema of GPRN/NSCN would have to be responded and settled as per the customary laws and traditions of the land, the GBs and village council members of Asukhomi village, while admitting that Amento belonged to Asukhomi village, however, said Amento was a GPRN/NSCN cadre, so his movement and actions as such was not “within the purview of the village.”

In a press release, Asukhomi village GB Ghukato Khujumi and village council chairman Khashito Jakha said the village therefore had no knowledge of the intention for any action on that particular incident whatsoever.

In fact, the signatories said they condemned the “unfortunate incident”, where an innocent person Kesosul Ltu was injured.

Further, the village council chairman and GB said the clarification was being issued so as to maintain a transparency in their stand and also to steadfastly support the move to curb the random shooting and killing of innocent public in Nagaland.
