Ancsu slams nu for errors in marksheets

All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) Thursdayheld a press conference with the media at All Nagaland College Students’ Union office, NSF office Kohima on regarding the issuing of the error marksheet of B. Sc. Result, 2013.

Interacting with the media person, All Nagaland College Students’ Union president Vilhousielie said that after the result declaration of B.Sc 2nd and 3rd year 2013 on June 21, the mark sheet were issued only after 19 days after the declaration of the result yet with maximum errors in the mark sheet.

He said that pass mark of the theory should be 25 but was entered as 35 in the mark sheet, where B. Sc 1st year grand total was interchange with the grand total of B. Sc 3rd year grand total.

Another errors was students who cleared their B. Sc 2nd year they were marked as absent in some particular subject in their mark sheet. Also the full mark for practical is 30 and pass is 12 but a student was given 44 marks.

Though B. Com and B. A result have already been declared the results were yet to be issued and All Nagaland College Students’ Union president said that they were worried and said its very doubtful as there are more number of students from both the streams.

A student from Kohima Science College, Jotsoma lamented that besides Botany, zoology and geography which had been wrongly entered as combination; the theory and practical marks in Physics, chemistry, anthropology and geology were mixed up and wrongly entered.

While in the marksheet of B. Sc 2nd year majority of the names of the student and registration numbers were wrong.

All Nagaland College Students’ Union has demanded that controller of examinations have to rectify the errors and examine the entire marksheets  and  also compensate expenditure of students who had to go to NU headquarter at  Lumami to verify the errors.

All Nagaland College Students’ Union said that there was no computer employee in the exam comptroller section and so questioned that what went wrong with the actual system with maximum errors in the issued marksheet and want immediate action from the vice-chancellor (VC) to suspend the exam comptroller and appoint efficient and responsible person.

Stressing on the delay issue of B. Com and B. A marksheet of, the union said that anything happen with students relating to their further studies, the NU have to bear all the responsibilities in their career.

The union also disclosed that it  would be organizing an open debate with NU not only regarding the results but for the development and uplift  of NU, infrastructure, appointment of the staffs etc.
