Purple Fusion to feature on Mtv’s Sound Trippin 2

After the premiere of their debut music video “Tring Tring- Marks of War” on Vh1 and Mtv India beginning of this year, Purple Fusion has announced that the band would be featured on MTV’s latest music reality programme, a 30 minute show called “Sound Trippin S2”, which will be aired on July 28, 8 p.m.

According to a release issued by the band, this would be the first time wherein a band from Nagaland was directly collaborating with any music channel.

MTV India’s “MTV SoundTrippin S2”, episode three, would feature lead singer, Lamtsala as the main act for the entire episode.

The music of Sound Trippin is directed and composed by the energetic and charismatic Sneha Khanwalker who is acclaimed as one of the bollywood’s leading music director/composer. Some of her works include movies like “Love, Sex, aur Dhoka” and “Gangs of Wasserpur”, to name a few.

It may be mentioned that Purple Fusion, a Dimapur based folk fusion band delves and experiments with Naga traditional as well as other folk music.

The Band was formed on August 2012 with an aim to promote the rich tradition and culture of Nagaland, in the form of fusion music.

Purple Fusion incorporates indigenous ethnic music with genre of the west like blues, jazz, funk, reggae and rock to create a blend of music which is different and unique from what one usually get to listen to in this modern electronic age.

The band has collaborated and performed with some of the biggest names in the international music industry like John W Schlitt of Petra (Grammy award winner) and with national artist like Rahul Ram of Indian Ocean etc.

Apart from national channel’s, they have contributed and has worked for documentary film’s with a national award winning director which is set to be released soon nationally and worldwide.
