DA Act extended in Nagaland

Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has extended Nagaland’s status of ‘Disturbed Area’ for another period of one year with immediate effect from June 30 onwards.

“The Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs has notified extension declaring Nagaland as “Disturbed Area” under Armed Forces (Special Power) Act, 1958 in the Gazette of India vide Notification No. S.O. (E) Dated 30-06-2013 for a period of one year with effect from the 30th June 2013,” stated the MHA notification which was made available to media via DIPR through a circular from the Home Commissioner, Nagaland Temjen Toy Tuesday.
