ATMA Kohima conducts 2 day orientation programme

With the objective to effectively implement state extension wing of agri and its allied departments, ATMA, Kohima, conducted a two days orientation programme for all stake holders at Hotel Japfü on July 30 and 31.

Speaking as the chief guest on the inauguration programme, deputy commissioner and chairman governing board (ATMA), Kohima, W. Honje Konyak, challenged all stake holders to clearly set targets as per its local conditions and go forward to achieve them.

Citing that Agri and Allied departments have enough human resources with specialized technocrats, Honje also said that it was time that all stake holders contribute effectively in transferring people’s friendly technologies as per need based of rural poor farmers.

He also dwelled strongly on the need of research and analysis at various capacities so that the most benefit was ripped by farmers stating that one could never rely on imports alone and further asked the gathering to strategize work implementation by identifying potential areas such as horticulture based farming system which only could bring change in the dependent food system. 

The chief guest also released the 3rd Edition of ATMA news bulletin covering all activities of both district as well as the block levels for the year 2012-13. 

The two days programme was participated by all members from agri and allied departments including BTTs, BFACs, and FFs.
