Sub-division Pughoboto wants backward area tag because its people are ignorant

Pughoboto town, regarded as one of the oldest sub-division station after Dimapur, Kiphire and Peren still reels with ‘backwardness’ due to ignorance of the people, Sumi Aphuyimi Kukami Hoho (SAKH), an organization has said.

Expressing serious concern over this, SAKH during an emergency meeting held on July 27 at Pughoboto town viewed that even though the sub division in question was supposed to be advanced in all front with the rest of the other advanced districts and sub divisions, ignorance of the people since inception of Nagaland statehood has made it remain static in its ‘backwardness.’

Asserting to this bone of contention, SAKH in a press release issued by Suhoje Kiho, president has urged the SDPDB Pughoboto to take up their grievances and forward it to the State government for ‘declaration of Pughoboto sub-division as backward area.’

Further, it expressed appreciation to the public of Pughoboto for choosing a right representative so as to bring all round development under the generous and able leader chief minister Neiphiu Rio.
