Dimapur District Auto rickshaw Drivers Union (DADU) Saturday resolved that to keep track and monitor the activities of auto drivers in Dimapur it was necessary they were registered under the union.
The resolution was passed at DDADU general meeting, New Office Premises, near Burma Camp Police Point. Earlier, union office was located at Eros Lane.
The meet observed that with the mushrooming of autos in the town, the owners should also register their vehicles with the union.
In a press release, DDADU general secretary Obeka Tuccu said parking zones in different parts of the town have been earmarked in coordination with the police authorities and in charges have been entrusted to look after both the grievances and complaints of drivers and passengers.
DDADU has informed all public to contact its office near Burma Camp Police Point in case of any inconveniences and complaints.
At the meeting, Dimapur District Auto rickshaw Drivers Union (DDADU) president Hokaito Zhimomi highlighting the aims and objectives urged office bearers to work with dedication and sincerity and address the grievances of auto drivers.
The house inducted two new members – Timir Choudhury as media advisor and Obeka Tuccu as general secretary.
