NFHCC grateful to churches: Nagaland Foot Hills Road Co-ordination Committee (NFHCC) has expressed gratitude to all the executive secretaries of respective church associations and pastors of all local churches under 10 Naga tribes Baptist church associations for organizing prayer and fasting programme successfully on August 14 for two hours to invoke God’s blessing towards the construction of foot hills road.
This proposed task can be treated as survival road for the entire Naga family and a gigantic mission of our time, a press note from NFHCC convener Supu Jamir and secretary WY Kithan stated.
The committee also appealed to all the churches association leaders and all local churches to constantly support in prayer for guidance till the accomplishment of the people’s mission.
NMA: Naga Mothers Association (NMA) has extended gratitude to the entire members of Puliebadze Club, Jotsoma for their benevolent gesture towards the NMA-run Aids Hospice during their visit August 15.
In a press release, NMA president Abei-ü Meru and joint secretary Sawmi Leyri stated that their noble act of affection and warm wishes for children would always be remembered.
NMA also prayed God continue to guide them all in their endeavour and continue to do good things even in future.
Further, NMA thanked different churches, organisations, government departments and individuals who have been supporting the association in various forms.
DPFA grateful to ACAUT for ban on poultry import: Dimapur Poultry Farmers’ Association (DPFA) while expressing gratitude to Action Committee Against Unabated Taxation (ACAUT) for removing the syndicate/dealership system in the poultry industry of Nagaland has extended full support on the ban imposed on import of poultry from outside.
In a press release, DPFA general secretary Richard Tokhyu said this ban on import of poultry would certainly encourage all poultry farmers to start their farms again knowing that marketing would not pose a problem anymore.
The association also appealed the general public to bear with the shortage of poultry, which might last for a few months.
Dist TB and chest diseases hospital Khuzama grateful: District TB and chest diseases hospital Khuzama has expressed gratitude to the members of Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland Branch (IRCSNB) for visiting the hospital and distributing food items to all the indoor patients.

JALUKIE VILLAGES: Joint councils of Old Jalukie village and Jalukie Pumling Nko have expressed gratitude and appreciation to DAN government under the leadership of chief minister Neiphiu Rio and former V&AH minister and present planning minister T.R Zeliang and current parliamentary secretary for V& AH Yitachu for establishing a veterinary college in the present Regional Brown Swiss Cattle Breeding Farm Jalukie.
In a joint press release, Old Jalukie village council chairman Hainkieng and Jalukie Pumling Nko chairman Kieleu said it was “indeed a great achievement of the DAN government and a blessing to the people of state.”
According to signatories, the college, which was the only kind in the state and though in the initial stage of development, has seen various developmental works coming up within a short span of time. They expressed confidence that the state government would live up to its commitment and accomplish the project on time.
With regard to this, the two councils requested the responsible authority to expedite the ongoing developmental works to enable early completion and inauguration of the same.
Expressing apprehensions in the matter, they requested the state government not to let any vested interest to hinder or disturb in the process of its development.
LDA, PPC grateful: Longleng District Administration (LDA), Phom Peoples’ Council (PPC) and the people of Longleng district have expressed gratitude to the commandant of 31st Assam Rifle Mokokchung and major 31st Assam Rifle Longleng for sending the band party of 31st Assam Rifle in Independence Day celebration at Longleng.
