MLA and chairman, Nagaland Handloom & Handicraft Development Corporation (NHHDC), Namri Nchang urged the people of his constituency to change their mindset for progress and development.
In a consultative meeting convened by the MLA with the frontal organisations, GBs, village councils and NGOs of Nkio-Khelma and Ahthibung area Wednesday, Namri asserted that even though State was looking forward to celebrate 50 years of statehood if the people do no change their mindset and mentality then the area would remain “dormant and undeveloped.”
Requesting the people of the area to co-operate for maximum development of the area he urged the public to be competent in any activities and move forward to pioneer exemplary act to the other areas of the district.
Revealing that NPF led DAN government was all set to develop the area in the coming days with solidarity support from chief minister Neiphiu Rio, he however maintained that “misunderstanding and narrow-mindedness” could become obstacle and hindrance to the projected developments of the area.
