4-member state team tours S Korea

On the Invitation of M/S Jandi Salang Co, Ltd, South Korea,  a team of four members led by parliamentary secretary, Dr. Benjongliba, along with secretary, agriculture, Benjamin Newmai, director, agriculture, Tekatushi Ao, and joint director, agriculture, Howoto Sumi, toured South Korea from August 21 to 31.

The tour was undertaken to take first hand information of the low cost cold storage technology for long term storage of ginger and to study the feasibility of adoption of the technology back home in the state. 

The company, Jandi Salang Co. Ltd, mainly deals in ginger cold storage chain, processing and marketing and ginger in low cost agro machineries and farm equipments including tractors and power tillers etc.

The team visited the ginger processing unit at BangTong in Wanchu City, which is highly successful and a major revenue earning venture in the country and also an agro equipment manufacturing unit of TYM, a company located at Angola.  

The visiting team had parley meetings with the company CEO and executives on possibility of technology transfer in business tie ups.

A team from South Korea led by Dr. Kim, Lim, CEO, Jandi Salang Co. Ltd, South Korea are expected to arrive Nagaland shortly.
