In a rejoinder to the statement “NSCN (K) clarifies” published in the local dailies September 5, Poumai Public Union Kohima (PPUK) clarified that James Mao, killed on September 4 was not from Poumai community as claimed.
The union informed that the body of late James was claimed by the Mao tribe for the final rites. PPUK said the union was compelled to issue a clarification to avoid confusion.
