Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) has vehemently condemned the “rape of a physically challenged girl” on September 3 in Chumukedima area allegedly by one person identified as ‘Phongpa’ who was a “discharged policeman.”
In a statement, Naga Women Hoho Dimapur information secretary Kimboi Haolai said such a person who committed “a barbaric act” on a physically challenged girl should never be allowed to go scot-free but given a befitting punishment so that he should never dare to commit such crime again.
Naga Women Hoho Dimapur said that no person or organization should seek his release on bail and he should not be granted bail by the authority. Meanwhile, the hoho wished the victim a speedy recovery and prayed that God give comfort to her.
