To facilitate competitive spirit and test the general knowledge amongst the youth of the state, the fourth all Nagaland open quiz competition was held September 20 at Japfü Christian College, Jakhama organized by Career Guidance and Counselling Cell of the College.
Hundreds of participants took part in the competition among which six participants were short listed for the grand finale.
Yekiho Sumi of Science College, Kohima walked away with the first position with a citation and prize money of Rs.10000; second position was bagged by Rinsit Vashum of Patkai Christian College with a citation and Rs. 5000 and third position was bagged by Zubenthung Merry, Burma Camp, Dimapur, along with a citation and Rs. 3000.
The cash awards are annually sponsored by anonymous Academicians in order to promote and boosts aspirants sitting for UPSC and NPSC examinations apart from other clean job avenues. The organizing committee comprised of Kemas Mavahrii (convener), Vil Pusa, Kaini Lokho and Kevisapi Kin.
