Based on specific information, 21 Assam Rifles (AR) apprehended two NSCN (K) cadres from New Colony Zunheboto Town on September 21.
According to AR press release, the cadres identified as ‘lt’ Kivito Sema and ‘leacy’ Bokavi Sema were held along with one AK-56 rifle, one 7.62 mm pistol and ammunition.
The cadres were residents of Village Yeshuluto, Zunheboto distirct, said AR. The apprehended cadres were handed over to Zunheboto police.
7 AR recovers weapons
On September 24, 7 Assam Rifles (AR) personnel recovered a huge cache of weapons including six .22 rifles, five .22 Pistols, two revolvers along with ammunition from a house in Medical Ward Colony of Kiphire town.
Rifles press release said the recovery was made after searching the house of one Seoli Sanghtam after specific information was received by AR personnel.
