Health mela organised in Monyakshu, Tobu blocks

A health mela was organized for the people of Monyakshu on September 29. Around 1059 patients were treated for gynecologist, pediatrician, dental, eye test and general check up.
 
The team was led by Dr. U. K. Konyak CMO, Dr. Supongmenla Walling DPO (RCH&UIP), Dr M. K. Roy, Dr. Chingo, Dr. Pankathang, Dr. Shokwang and Dr. Rukuwe, and eight nurses, two lab-techs, two from malaria department, and other NRHM staff also assisted the doctors at the mela.

The mela started at with a short programme in the Church chaired by Pongchai, BPM Tobu.
Chairman VC, H. Sangti welcomed all the medical team and thanked District Health Society (DHS) for bringing health service providers along with medicines at their doorstep.

Dr. Supongmenla thanked the village for the hospitality and the arrangements.
 
Dr. U. K. Konyak elaborated on the topic “Prevention is better than cure” after which Church deacons flagged off the programme with a mass prayer.
