9th IR unit church building dedicated

The first ever church building to be owned from among the Indian Reserve Battalion(s) in Nagaland, Police Baptist Church, 9th NAP (IR) Saijang, was formally dedicated for the Unit Battalion by Rev. Dr. N. Mong Lotha, executive secretary, Nagaland Police Baptist Church Association (NPBCA) on  October 6.

According to a press statement issued by Unit Church Pastor, Rukuveyi Nienu, during the formal  dedication program, unit church pastor led the congregation, while a brief report of the construction was delivered by Dr. Kupe, Dy. Commandant and Chairman Construction Committee, Unit Commandant, Aotemsu brought greetings while Rev. Dr. N. Mong Lotha, Executive Secretary, NPBCA addressed the congregation.

According to the statement, the constructed church building stands as one of the biggest church buildings from among Police churches in the state and also the only completed constructed church from among the IR Battalion. 

From among the 800 congregation who attended the dedication program, a good number of former 9th IR Bn. officials, public leaders, well wishers and all the rank and files including jawans witnessed the grand dedication program. The unit Pastor thanked one all for participating and making the programme a success.
