DCCI, SCD, DNSU flay Oct 21 firing

Various Dimapur based organizations have condemned Monday’s firing incident and ‘attempt to life’ on proprietor of M/s. Alok Bhandar at G.S Road, where the latter was injured.

DCCI: Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) condemned the firing incident at M/s. Alok Bhandar at G.S Road.

In a press release, DCCI secretary Sanjay Sethi requested all “to maintain peaceful and harmonious atmosphere in the city at all times”.

DCCI also urged the law enforcing agencies to nab the culprits and book under the provisions of law.
SCD: Sumi Council, Dimapur (SCD) has strongly condemned the firing incident at G.S. Road Monday where a tea trader was injured.

In a statement, SCD chairman Kuhoi Zhimo expressed dismay that such incident took place in the commercial hub of Nagaland “spoiling the festive mood” by creating fear psychosis in the minds of the people.

SCD appealed all peace-loving citizens of Dimapur to put their heads together irrespective of caste, creed or community and work to avert such incidents by extending their cooperation to the law enforcing agencies so that the culprits was given a befitting punishments.

The council also urged the security agencies to be more alert and vigilant and deploy personnel at strategic locations to apprehend criminals.

SCD has also lauded the step taken by the Khrimtomi Union Dimapur Area (KUDA) by expelling two of its members for indulging in anti-social activities. The council has been propagating such step so as to curb social menaces.

DNSU: Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has vehemently condemned the “life attempt” on one Shanti Prakash Pareek, a tea trader at his shop located at G.S Road by some miscreants.

In a statement, DNSU president K Mhachio Lotha and general secretary Kambuiga Rongmei termed the attack as “devilish act” to create fear psychosis and “earn their livelihood” with the sweat of the hard earned money of the businessman and the public.

DNSU said people should stop patronizing such act of “goondaism” and urged law enforcing agency and administration to book the culprit.

DNSU also condemned the rape and attempt to murder of a girl by one Adani Chithuyio at a forested area near Viola Colony, Dimapur.

The union said every individuals and organizations should voice out their condemnation without any reservation.

DNSU also expressed dismay at learning that the appeal of the victim’s family for intervention was denied by colony authority.
