Body recovered in Longleng

Longleng police Tuesday recovered a dead body of non-local male, found hanging inside a hut 7 km away from Longleng town.

According to police, villagers of Orangkong village informed about the incident at around 1 p.m. and a team rushed to the site. Police said preliminary investigation ruled out any indication of foul play. No written documents were found or left behind.

The deceased was later identified as one Dutta (55) from Tripura. He was reportedly a labourer at Bulongchong stone crusher below Orangkong Village. After conducting all formalities, the body was handed over to relatives.
