Load shedding in parts of Mokokchung town

Executive Engineer (EE), electrical division Mokokchung has informed that one of the main power transformers feeding Mokokchung town, the 33/11 kv 2.5 MVA transformer got burned on October 29.
Therefore, until replacement of the same is made, EE, electrical division said the department would be compelled to impose load shedding affecting the following areas as below:

EE, electrical division further said that load shedding would take place alternatively between Block A and Block B for two hours each starting from October 29 evening.

However, additional load shedding, if any, from load control Aolijen sub-station would also be affected, added EE.

The following areas would not be affected: Salangtem, Yimyu, Kichutip, part of lower Aongza, part of lower Arkong, lower Kumlong (IOC area).

As the single 33/11kv 5 MVA transformer from which the power supply is to be given is also overloaded, consumers have been requested to reduce their consumption up to the extent possible till the situation is normalized and to kindly bear with the inconvenience.
