Following silence over the ultimatum served on the state government over its failure to fulfill pending demands on October 10 last, Eastern Naga Student Federation (ENSF) has decided to launch its first phase agitation from November 5.
In a press release, ENSF president Shahsha L. Menhahu and general secretary Honang M. Jessuhu said the decision was taken at an emergency meeting the federation held on October 31 at its Headquarters, Tuensang.
Further, the Federation resolved that the four district of Eastern Nagaland– Tuensang, Mon, Longleng and Kiphire would not cooperate with the directive issued by the state government for compulsory contribution towards celebration of the 50th anniversary of statehood from employees within its jurisdiction.
ENSF has also asked the responsible department to strictly adhere to its directive and also directed all HoDs and staff in the four districts of Eastern Nagaland to be stationed at their respective posting place by November 4.
Failing to comply with the directives, the federation would be compelled to take its own course of action, said the press release.
