Educated unemployed youth of Nagaland will now get a clear picture of job avenues available in both the public and the private sector with the state department of Employment & Craftsmen Training, for the first time, set to hold a unique two-day ‘Job Oriented Skill Development Mela’ on November 20 -21 at Agri. Expo Site, Dimapur.
The event is being organized in collaboration with ministry of labour and employment, government of India and in partnership with Nagaland state council of confederation of Indian Industry and YouthNet.
In this regard, a press conference was held at the proposed venue wherein a team of organizers revealed that more than 100 companies across the country and state as well will participate in the fair that would create awareness among unemployed youths and generate employment avenues.
Parliamentary secretary for justice & law, land revenue, labour & employment Dr. Nicky Kire said individuals irrespective of educational qualification should come forward and avail the opportunity.
At this juncture where government jobs have saturated, Dr. Nicky said that the proposed job fair was an opportunity for the educated unemployed youth of the state to come forward and make use of the facilities that would be provided by the top companies at their door steps.
Stating that one cannot be successful over night, Dr. Nicky said that sincerity and hard work that would bring success to an individual.
The mela is being organized to sensitize the youth regarding job opportunities and various vocational training providers who can arm them with relevant skill sets that will help them get jobs.
Selected the youth would have to undergo a vocational training for a period of one to six months and government would bear all the expenses of the training.
After successful completion of training, they would be provided certificates empowering them to get employment.
The department of employment and craftsmen training stated that it would be happy to see local boys and girls getting selected for companies. The department expects 70- 80 % placement after the selection was done during the fair.
With more than 62,000 educated unemployed youth in the state, it is expected that the fair would receive an overwhelming response.
Job fairs are good places to meet many company representatives from corporations of all industries and sizes during a short period of time.
Every job fair has a set of similar, basic elements or processes that require your attention. Job fair networking can be generally described as the process of interacting with, obtaining contact details of, and getting to know corporate recruiters.
