Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Mokokchung organized a district level exposure tour for Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) beneficiaries form Longsa and Mangmetong village on the December 3.
Farmers were taken to Yimchalu, an upcoming model farm village under Mokokchung, created under the concept of agro tourism where the famers from both the villages interacted with several successful “agripreneurs.”
The group also visited State Agriculture Research Station (SARS) and Krishi Vigyan Kendriya (KVK) at Yisemyong where several modern, location specific technologies on agriculture, horticulture, veterinary, soil conservation, rain-water harvesting structures etc. were shown. The group also had the chance to visit hi-tech rose gardens at Yisemyong.
Altogether 64 beneficiaries and officials undertook the tour programme. Meanwhile, ATMA Mokokchung has expressed gratitude to village council and residents of Yimchalu for their co-operation towards the success of the programme.
