Reiterating its commitment towards Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home (KODH), Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF), the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Amway India, the largest direct selling FMCG company of India, Monday extended an aid amounting to Rs 1.5 Lakh to Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home.
The cheque was handed over by Nagaland State Training Officer, Amway India Ltd, Janbeni Awomi, to chairman, KODH, Neibanuo Angami, which would be utilized as annual educational sponsorship for welfare of the underprivileged children of Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home.
Stating that foundation was delighted to make contribution for the children of the home which would empower them in future, vice-president, East, Amway India, and also a volunteer of the foundation, Diptarag Bhattacharjee, urged the authority responsible to utilize the amount towards quality education and healthcare of the children, which would benefit them in the long run and make them self reliant.
It may be mentioned that Amway Opportunity Foundation has been undertaking annual educational sponsorship and healthcare expenses of Kohima Orphanage & Destitute Home since 2009 and also this year it also set up a computer centre “AOF- KODH Vocational Centre in Information Technology for the students of Kohima Orphanage.
