Multi-Disciplinary Health Camp held at Tamlu

In commemoration of 50th anniversary of statehood, a multi-disciplinary health camp was held at Tamlu on January 15 and 16.
A total of 367 patients with gynae, copper-t insertion, tubal lagation, minor surgery, eye and general OPD problems were treated.
At the camp, CMO Longleng, Dr. M.A. Wati stressed on the needs and importance of health services especially in rural sector. CMO also called upon the general public to avail the services provided in the health camp which includes; gynaecology, surgery, ophthalmology, lab services and general opd. Earlier, a short function was held before the commencement of the camp which was chaired by Dr. Chai-e (Medical Officer, Tamlu PHC).
Rev. Mongmei, Pastor Tamlu Town Baptist Church said the invocation prayer after which the health mela was declared open.
The medial team was led and conducted by Dr. M.A Wati, CMO with assistance from Dr. Tepukushio, MS, Dr. Kongyan, Dy.CMO, Dr. Imtiwapang, DPO RCH/UIP, Dr. Thungbemo, DPO NVBDCP, Dr. Chubasanen, surgical specialist, Dr. Supong, Gynaecologist, Dr. Wannau, anaesthetist and nurses and OT assistant from District hospital, along with Dr. Tia MO i/c Tamlu PHC, Dr. Chai-e and nurses and staff of Tamlu PHC. The IEC materials were also displayed and distributed.
