Er. Levi lays foundation stone of tourist reception centre

Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) deputy speaker Er. Levi Rengma laid a foundation stone of tourist reception centre at Nsonji, Sendenyu, under Kohima district on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, NLA deputy speaker assured that the project would become a reality soon and expressed hope that government would give a positive signal to expedite the work.
Later, talking to media persons on the sidelines of Tseminyu Sub Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) meeting, Er. Levi maintained that Sendenyu area possessed vast potential for undertaking various developmental activities. He expressed hope that the state government would provide the required fund for the same.
Asserting good road connectivity was the basic tool for all round development, the deputy speaker assured that he would take up the matter with the PWD for the improvement of the road sector.
Kohima DRDA project director Chandeno gave a power point presentation at the meeting on the activities of the rural development department in the state.
Several dignitaries including Rengma Hoho president Sawathang Kez Seb also attended the meeting.
Earlier, after a power point presentation by Dr. Gwalozu Thong, the Sendenyu Chipwen Union (SCU) submitted memorandum to Er. Levi Rengma for upgradation of sub centre Sendenyu village to PHC, augmentation of Sendenyu village water supply from Dzükenta, seeking SDPB’s recommendation for establishment of Nra Model Village and construction of tourist trekking route at Sendenyu Community Biodiversity Conservation area.
