DCT condemns ‘torture’

Condemning the resent “torture and atrocity” meted out to Temsusenla, resulting in her death, the Dimapur Changkikongtsür Telongjem (DCT), vehemently voiced their anger that the victim was allegedly “burnt” and “detained” without any medical help for 10 days starting January 30 to February 9.
While expressing condemnation over the “barbaric and inhuman action”, the DCT in a press release issued by its general secretary, T. Azungla Longchar, stated that it was a matter of concern that in recent times, women have been pushed to the receiving end. DCT requested the law agency not to be indifferent but to arrest all the culprit(s) involved in the crime at the earliest and award befitting punishments to them.
