Department of tourism has informed all tribal Hohos, NGOs, government departments, VCCs, VDBs and private establishments to collaborate with the effort of the department in promoting Naga Heritage Village, Kisama as a hub for all events, meetings, conventions, seminars, camps, wedding planners and event organizers and gatherings utilizing the tourism facilities created and made available at this ethnic setting. In a press release, tourism director Purakhu Angami stated that it would not only augment the value of Kisama as a cultural activity centre but also transform the spot as a year round destination for people and tourists alike. Further, the department of tourism informed that all other existing formalities such as seeking permission to the directorate of tourism/bamboo mission/art and culture/horticulture etc and nominal entry fees would still apply as this would also in turn generate revenue for the government in whatever small way possible.
