Regional Transport Authority (RTA), Dimapur district has decided to enforce auto-rickshaw drivers to wear grey colour uniform as per Sec 28 (2) of the Motor Vehciles Act in and around Dimapur with effect from March 6 onwards. In a press release, chairperson RTA and DC Dimapur N. Hushili Sema said the decision was taken at a board meeting of Dimapur district RTA held on February 6. Hushili said the flag-off programme for drivers in uniform with name tag would take place at DC’s office. The board meeting also resolved to allot parking site for light commercial vehicle (auto Pick-Up) at Rama Krishna Mission society area (Duncan Basti) with immediate effect. All owners/drivers have been directed to comply with the order.
