Community leaders trained in Wokha

Training and awareness programme on communitization for community leaders was held on February 18 at DC conference hall, Wokha.
Speaking on the function, chief guest deputy commissioner, Wokha Vysan said as community leaders of a particular village, major power has been vested on them to look after the well being of the community at large.
 He said at first one need to understand their own duties and responsibilities and further suggested on holding health talks at the church platform with the co-operation of the medical officer and nurse. 
The DC also pledged to conduct social work once every month at the health centre with attendance of the VHCs & medical staffs of every village.
Earlier the function was chaired by Dr. W N Ezung MS & CMO, Dr Zuben Kikon, district nodal officer (comtz) presented a power point on the roles and responsibilities of community leaders and vote of thanks was delivered by Matsung DPM (NRHM).
