Release BRFG funds as per norms: VDBAs

VDB Association (VDBA) of— Wokha, Longleng, Tuensang, Mon and Kiphire have demanded that the BRGF fund be released as per Five years Prospective Plan as submitted by the concerned village authorities with effect from 2013-14.
In a joint statement VDBA district presidents– Paul Kikon (Wokha), L. Yanlie (Longleng), Imjong Chang (Tuensang), Wangpai M. Wangsha (Mon) and general secretary K. Tsalimong (Kiphire) said a meeting of five BRGF beneficiary districts on February 20 at DUDA guest house, Kohima resolved “not to accept any materials as the department had been issuing materials to the VDBs in the past years”.
The house also resolved not to entertain any “VIP note” for work allotment under BRGF scheme, which it said was against BRGF guidelines. 
Urging the department concern to treat the matter as “important”, failing which, VDBAs said it would resort to any form of agitation to fulfill its demand.
