Zunheboto Town Youth Organisation (ZTYO) has strongly condemned the February 24 incident, wherein a headless and armless body of an infant girl was recovered by the Zunheboto police station personnel. In a press release, ZTYO media cell stated that such acts perpetrated on human being were beyond the imagination of “our civilised Christian society.”
“The act defies all laws, be it constitutional law, traditional or customary law, moral or Christian laws and complete violation of basic human rights…,” ZTYO stated.
Further, the organization termed the act “inhuman and gruesome” and urged the competent authority to book the culprit at the earliest and also reminded that non bail-able and severest punishment be awarded to the offender.
