CVYS reiterates ban on hunting, fishing

Reiterating ban on hunting, fishing, cutting of trees/bamboo and burning of forest within Chümoukedima village jurisdiction, the Chümoukedima village youth society (CVYS) has cautioned that defaulters would be penalized of Rs. 10,000 and above. CVYS president Vikhwe Yhoshü and general secretary Ravo Sokra stated that outsiders have been banned from picnicking, trekking, door to door business, collection of firewood, fodder for cattle rearing. CVYS cautioned that no outsider would be allowed to roam freely within the village jurisdiction after 8 p.m. without valid reasons to prevent any untoward incident.
